Springwools has been Ireland’s leading wool shop for almost 30 years. The business was started by Kevin and Patsy Spring. Also helping to put a spring in your stitch are staff Gavin, Tina, Mary, Dearbhail, Lorraine, Suzanne and teacher Margaret.

Springwools is a great big shop with plenty of comfy seating and tables – you can take your time browsing in comfort, and sit down to peruse books and patterns at your leisure. In order to have such a large premises brimming with an amazing selection of yarns at great prices, they have to be a little off the beaten track. The shop is based in the heart of Walkinstown, Dublin 12. They stock ranges of yarns from brands such as; King Cole, Sirdar, Wendy, Robin, Peter Pan, Lang, Rico, Stylecraft, Designer Yarns, Tivoli, Hayfield, Kilcarra, Sonas, Cheval Blanc, Debbie Bliss and Sublime.

The extensive selection of yarns, patterns, books and materials they carry cater for all budgets, tastes, abilities and ages. They supply inexpensive bargain yarn to school kids just learning, as well as the very finest luxury yarns to experienced knitting connoisseurs – and they don’t charge the earth for either. They believe everybody should be knitting and crocheting, so they strive to keep their prices affordable. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they are happy to order yarn, patterns and books especially for you whenever they can.
They also run knitting and crochet classes for all ability levels. If you’re unable to visit the shop in person, don’t forget that there’s always someone on the other end of the Springwools phone line to lend a hand with your yarn or knitting queries.
