Authentic Spanish Hairpin Lace and Knitting Classes with Lola Romaneli

Enjoy two exclusive and authentic workshops with Lola Romaneli of Lola de La Lagaro. With over 30 years of experience in textile arts, Lola de Logaro is an expert in Spanish heritage techniques including knitting, crochet and hairpin lace. Her work is rooted in traditional skills, yet continues to be innovative as she explores new forms of expression through yarn.

Lola will introduce the Hairpin Lace technique. Hairpin lace is a beautiful variation on crochet, in which you combine a standard crochet hook with two rods to create lacy, openwork designs. Once you have seen hairpin lace, you will always immediately recognize it, because it has a very unique appearance that never fails to catch the eye. Lola will then you show you how to incorporate your stunning hairpin lace into your knitting!
