Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Barcelona!

Transfer to your hotel and meet with your fellow knitters and your guide! After having a brief tour induction, we take a guided tour of the most recognisable of all Barcelona’s architecture. La Sagrada Família is one of Gaudí's most famous works in Barcelona. It's a giant Basilica that has been under construction since 1882 (yes you read that correctly!) and it's not expected to be completed for some time yet. Gaudí played an active role in directing the construction of the Sagrada Família until his death in 1926.

Afterwards, enjoy a Meet & Greet with Carol Feller who will introduce you to the topics that will be covered in her classes. This evening, join your fellow tour participants for a Welcome Reception where you will get the chance to exchange ideas and build excitement for the days ahead!

Day 2: Knitting and Gaudi!

After breakfast, join Carol for a morning knitting workshop in your bright and airy surroundings. After a leisurely lunch (included), you will have the rest of the afternoon free to explore beautiful Barcelona!

This evening, we will take you to Gaudi’s masterpieice, La Pedrera! You will enjoy a nocturnal guided tour of Casa Mila (La Pedrera) and discover its connection to nature. As you wander the iconic landmark, your senses will be immersed in a magic show of lights and sounds. The Warrior Rooftop will take your breath away before you close the evening with a glass of cava!

Day 3: Knitting with Carol and yarn fun at Lalanalu!

After breakfast, it’s time for another fantastic Carol Feller knitting class! After lunch (included), it’s onto the visit Lalanalu yarn shop to meet the hosts of Barcelona Knits and receive your event wrist band. The rest of the evening is free for you to relax or explore!

Day 4: Barcelona Knits Festival Day 1!

Join your coach after breakfast and travel the short distance to the BARCELONA KNITS FESTIVAL right on the Barcelona waterfront, overlooking the Balearic Sea. Here, dive into the vibrant world of yarn and textile artistry, a dream destination for any fiber enthusiast! This colourful gathering showcases indie dyers, expert workshops and an eclectic marketplace bursting with creativity.

There will be many classes available at the festival which you are welcome to book yourself and we will ensure that you get a 5% discount. Enjoy the many activities going on throughout the day and make the most of all the stalls! The remainder of the day and evening is free for you to explore, or you can just take our shuttle back to the hotel for an evening of knitting and relaxation!

Day 5: Barcelona Knits Festival Day 2!

After a leisurely Sunday breakfast, join your coach for a return to the water’s edge and BARCELONA KNITS! More of the same wonderful learning, shopping and socialising in the fun and lively festival! You can also choose to explore the magic of Barcelona - the day is yours to explore, relax and knit!

Day 6: Alpacas, Dye Your Own Yarn and Flamenco

This morning, travel north to Alpaques del Pertegàs, a family-run alpaca farm located in the picturesque region of the Pyrenees in Spain. Dedicated to sustainable and ethical practices, the farm specializes in producing high-quality alpaca fiber, celebrated for its softness and warmth. Meet Mar and enjoy a guided tour of the farm; meet the fluffy alpacas and learn about fiber processing before taking part in a dyeing workshop. Each tour member will dye a skein that they can take home! Return to your hotel in Barcelona where you will have some time to relax and get ready to head to our evening entertainment!

Dining in Tablao de Carmen which is located in Pueblo Español, is among the most authentically Spanish experiences one can have. Located on the prettiest street in Spanish Village, Arcos Street, the Tablao invites you to enjoy the best architecture, live Flamenco show and traditional Spanish cuisine.

Day 7: Embroidering on Knitting and Yarn Tasting

Today, begin with a fascinating and exclusive embroidery class on knitted garments with Barcelona Knit festival instructor Nuria Picos! Nuria has studied Glazig embroidery with French embroiderer Pascal Jaouen along with attending the Royal School of Needlework in London. She is currently training at the Ecole Lesage, the prestigious haute cuture embroidery school in Paris. After lunch (included), we will make our way to the wonderful All You Knit Is Love yarn store for a fabulous time knitting, yarn selecting and chatting with the wonderful owners over a glass or two of Cava!

Then on to enjoy a free afternoon and avail of some last minute sightseeing and/or shopping! This evening, indulge in a Farewell dinner with your fellow knitters.

Day 8: Adios Spain

As we transfer you to the airport, bid farewell to Barcelona, but remember you are bringing great memories, new skills and new friends with you!
