Foxford Woollen Mills Established to serve the village of Foxford over a century ago, the mill sits on the banks of the River Moy in rural County Mayo,

Over a century ago, Mother Agnes, the founder of Foxford mill, stood on a bridge in Foxford and contemplated a future with community and craftsmanship at its core. Foxford Woollen Mill, as it was then known, was established in 1892 as a means of improving people’s livelihoods and has supported the local area ever since. At one point, the fabric for every Garda uniform in the state rolled off the looms of Foxford and there are ties to some of Ireland's biggest names in politics and literature. Discover more as you are guided through Foxford and a century of innovation, creativity and skilled craftwork.
