Aine Dunne Tapestry Weaving and Spinning Discover the magic of weaving and handspinning with one of Ireland's most sought after Tapestry Weavers!

A native of the Boyne Valley Ireland, Áine designs and handweaves tapestry wallhangings for public and private clients. Introduced to tapestry weaving by artist Liam O’Broin in 1980, Áine spent time working and training with some of the top European names in art and design throughout the eighties and nineties and has been a member of the Irish Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers since this time.

Discover the history, heritage and beauty of these crafts before being shown the intricacy and magic of weaving and spinning for yourself!

Áine's tapestry weaving style relates through textures, spinning yarn to work with and dying variations of shades. The process itself creates a space and a comfortable sense of relationship that she does not often encounter in other areas of my work life. Her designs often contain images and symbols that reflect this state of being.
