Anna Gallinat is a writer, knitting enthusiast and Copenhagen lover. Bringing those passions together, she produced the Copenhagen Guide of Yarn Shops containing 22 shops across eight neighbourhoods and lots of local tips to make the best of your visit to the Danish capital. (You will receive a free copy when you book the Copenhagen tour with KnittingTours.)
After many years of globetrotting, Anna settled in Copenhagen because it brings together everything she loves: a high density of yarn shops, it’s close to water and boasts safe cycling, a calm city with lots and lots of cute bakeries and cafés!
Through her blog Knit Current, she shares interviews, pattern round-ups and new insights into creativity with the wider knitting community: “I explore topics of feminism, sustainability and anti-racism through the lens of crafting.”
Knitting is a way for people to connect across cultures and Anna loves to tighten the community through her writing and sharing her local knowledge of what’s arguably the world’s yarn shop capital!
Teach me about your world, and I’ll show you mine! I love connecting with people from all over the world through a shared passion, like knitting. Come to Copenhagen and discover the quintessential Danish feeling of ‘hygge’!
