Once that’s done you’ll be able to experience the KnittingTours website perfectly.
Our 10 night Knit the Wild Atlantic Way tour begins with a visit to Trinity College Library and the Book of Kells, free time for you to take lunch (not included) and then back to the hotel for a welcome drink and a pre-dinner talk with Vawn Corrigan, Author of Irish Aran, History, Tradition and Fashion. Still in Dublin, we meet This is Knit owner Lisa Sisk, for a workshop on the Moebius Knitting technique, sweet treats and an exclusive shopping experience at her number one yarn and knitting store! The tour heads west with a tour and tasting of Ireland’s oldest working distillery, Kilbeggan Distillery. We travel firmly into the west of Ireland with a brief stop in Galway before sailing to Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands. Here we enjoy a cultural and traditional knitting and crafts experience with well known knitting instructor – Úna McDonagh. In County Mayo, we visit The National Museum of Country Life to meet with your knitting instructor, Pauline Gallagher, for a Stranded to Steeked Fair Isle knitting workshop and a guided tour of the Museum.
As we head further North along the Wild Atlantic Way, we visit the fun and ever popular Atlantic Sheep Dogs and take a tour of Belleek Pottery. Go behind the scenes at Studio Donegal ( hand-weaving and clothing manufacturing using Donegal Yarns) and discover the magic behind the making of the prestigious Hanna Hats. Enjoy a core Aran knitting class, with Irish designer, Edel MacBride. This tour takes us on a discovery of the Causeway Coast, the Giant’s Causeway and Dunluce Castle. In Belfast, a visit to the Titanic Belfast Visitor Experience is included as well as a trip outside Belfast to the charming Mourne Alpacas in the heart of the Mourne Mountain and a trip to Folklore Yarns in the heart of Belfast! As we travel back to Dublin, we stop at Monasterboice for lunch, before continuing to County Louth and a spinning and tapestry workshop with Áine Dunne. Arrive back in Dublin for last minute shopping, sightseeing and a farewell dinner!

I so enjoyed my trip with your company.
Mary and Frank were the best team one could imagine to be part of, they went over and beyond our expectations.
Looking forward to sharing another tour with you again. Hopefully in the near future.
I had a great time on the tour. I enjoyed it so much I would love to do another!
Mary, our guide and Frank our driver were both fabulous and I really enjoyed the workshops.
It was the first organised tour I had ever been on and it was better than I expected
I just finished my first trip to Ireland and it was all and more than I expected. It was so comforting to be met at the airport. I can't express strongly enough what a wonderful guide we had for this trip. The group asked me to share that the tour guide, Jane Horgan, and the driver, John were absolutely perfect. We thank you for giving us the "A" team for the tour.
What a fantastic tour! Our tour director Jane Horgan was truly a gem! She was friendly, funny, entertaining and thoroughly skilled at keeping our group informed of all details of our tour. I would love to partake in the Southern Ireland tour in perhaps another year or two, particularly if Jane were to be available as our guide once again.
It was an absolutely wonderful trip! I enjoyed everything we did, especially the Aran Islands. I loved the trip, and I thank Irish Tourism for a fine job.
Just want to let you know how much I enjoyed the recent Northern Ireland Knitting Tour. I thought it was the perfect combination of knitting workshops and sightseeing. Mary Lavery, our guide, and Bert, our driver, were both helpful and full of information. Not to mention the great group of ladies on the tour. I hope to return for the Southern Tour one day.
It was a fabulous wonderful well-organized trip!! I enjoyed the classes, finished all my projects. The guide and driver were excellent and loads of fun. Food was good, but the portions were a bit too large. As a "techno-idiot" I have no photos to post. It was a great trip and will probably do another, perhaps the southern loop, in the next year or so.
It was an absolutely PERFECT trip for my friends Jessica Szabo, Amanda Roth, and I - we truly COULD. NOT. BE. more pleased than we are!!! AGAIN - we truly cannot tell you how over the moon happy we all were with this trip - so much so that we were already inquiring about next May's Southern Ireland knitting tour LITERALLY before the wheels of the plane left the ground to depart from Dublin!!!!!
My cousin and I had a wonderful time seeing new sites, meeting friendly people and learning new skills! Thanks to all in your company for putting together such a great time.
Don’t worry, you can bring your partners, companions or family who don’t knit.We have plenty to keep them occupied during your knitting classes and they are more than welcome to join in with everything else!
Your enquiry has been sent, we’ll be in touch soon.
