Cushendale Woollen Mills Ltd. is a family run textile manufacturing business which has a history spanning five generations. Cushendale continues to produce high quality textile products from a range of natural fibres at its turn of the century woollen mill in Graignamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. Woollen manufacturing in Graignamanagh itself has a history dating back to the arrival of Cistercian monks in 1204, a tradition that is continued up to the present day by the Cushen family. Cushendale is one of a few remaining businesses in Graignamanagh and has a long standing record of providing secure employment in the area.

At its facility in Graignamanagh, Cushendale has the ability to design and fully manufacture a range of textile products from 100% Irish Wool blankets to luxury mohair throws, hats and scarves and home craft supplies. All products are 100% Irish designed, manufactured and marketed from our facility in Graignamanagh making it one of only two remaining authentic Irish woollen mills in Ireland with full in-house production capability.

Cushendale has the unique advantage of being able to dye its own fibres which results in a broad range of unique and vibrant colours being available for product designs. Cushendale’s manufacturing facility houses a range of both traditional and modern textile machinery and processing techniques which can produce high end finished products in fibres such as wool, lambswool, mohair and chenille.

Home craft is an area Cushendale has expanded into over recent years and now has a range of felts and knitting yarns for sale.
