Edinburgh Castle is arguable one of the most historic sites in Western Europe. The castle is located in the heart of Edinburgh city the Capital of Scotland. From the castle it offers break taking views around the city and along the historic Royal Mile. The scenery promises to take your breath away.

Edinburgh Castle is a world famous icon of Scotland and encompass the Old and New Town. It is consistently voted as the top UK Heritage Attraction in the British Travel Award and is Scotland’s number on attraction. The castle structure itself has a very complex building history. St Margaret’s Chapel the oldest part dates back to the 12th Century and the Great Hall which was erected by James IV around 1510. In the late 16th century the Half Moon Battery was put in place by Regent Morton and the Scottish National War Memorial after the First World War.

In the castle – it houses the Honours (Crown Jewels) of Scotland, the Stone of Destiny, the famous 15th century gun Mons Meg, the One O’ Clock Gun and the National War Museum of Scotland.
